Dr. Azizul possesses a Ph.D. (Advertising) from Loughborough University, United Kingdom, an MSc. Mass Communication (Advertising) from Boston University, Massachusetts, United States of America, and a Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication, UiTM.

He is also actively involved in the field of publication and research in UiTM. Among the books that he has written are The University Revisited - A Journey of Discovery, Advertising in Malaysia - The Consequences of Globalization, Advertising, and Culture Imperialism - Implication and Consequences, Malaysian Advertising and Consumption, Desktop Publishing Process, Exploring Intellectual Frontiers, and Istilah dan Takrifan Komputer.
